Bold new initiative to accelerate the transformation of companies to the cloud

Claranet and critical application management, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have formed a strategic collaboration agreement to support Claranet customers’ innovation and cloud migration projects worldwide. A global Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), involving the additional certification of over 1,200 cloud experts, is planned to accelerate cloud adoption for Claranet’s customers wishing to make a strategic move to the AWS Cloud. Claranet will provide new services built on AWS to help companies gain agility and improve competitiveness.

The five-year agreement, which covers France, UK, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, formalises a long-standing collaboration between Claranet and AWS and takes it to the next level. Having migrated its first customer to AWS in 2013, Claranet achieved AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and AWS Managed Services Provider Partner status in 2016 which are certifications that demonstrate extensive experience in deploying customer solutions on AWS. In 2020, Claranet had migrated over 500 customers to AWS.

A leader in cloud consulting and transformation services according to the ISG Provider Lens™ 2021 report, Claranet will work with AWS to further accelerate the migration of businesses to the cloud. Such businesses will be able to benefit from Claranet’s expertise and know-how, recognised for its end-to-end support and tailored approach, from planning and deployment to maintenance, including its FinOps optimisation services.

As part of the collaboration agreement, a global CCoE will be built around four practices: security, data, SAP, and migration and modernisation. Claranet will develop solutions in its Innovation Lab to provide businesses with cutting-edge technology in the areas of cloud, data and security.

“We are delighted with this strategic agreement which marks a new stage in our collaboration with AWS,” Charles Nasser, CEO and founder of Claranet Group said. “Our experts have been supporting organisations for over 10 years in their journey to the AWS Cloud. With this agreement, Claranet and AWS are working together to help customers realise the full promise of the cloud: enhanced innovation, joint investment in new offerings, and enhanced capabilities that will enable our customers around the world to accelerate and simplify their cloud transformation.”
